plastic recycling - the latest information

Contrary to public opinion a lot of plastics are recyclable. With over 475,000 tonnes being recycled in 2007, but we shouldn't stop there as millions of tonnes of plastic waste is still sent to landfill or incineration each year.

If you want to recycle-more of your plastic packaging please feel free to check out the plastic id chart then go to the bank locator to find out where your nearest recycling bank is!

Unfortunately only some types of plastic can be recycled at recycling banks at the moment, for more information on recycling plastics please click here. If you would like more information about plastic and how this is recycled please see RECOUP for more details.
